Why are your customers so confused?
Have you ever spent a lot of money on something without any idea of what to expect after you make your purchase? Nope. We haven’t either. If I’m going to spend my money on something, I need to know how things will work. And the more I spend, the more I need to know.
I want to minimize my risk and be confident in the investment I’m making. Because if I’m confused, I won’t buy from you.
What I need is a plan. And your customers need one, too.
By giving customers a plan, you’re instilling confidence by reducing their risk. Customers are more inclined to purchase from you if they know what will happen after they hand over their money.
What does the plan consist of? It’s simple.
Telling a customer the steps they need to take to BUY from you.
Outlining the steps they need to take to USE what they buy from you.
The more complicated the product or service you’re selling, the clearer the plan needs to be.
We always like to make Step 1 in our plan the Call to Action. But your ideal customer still wants to know what to do next. This is why you need to provide them with a 3-step plan.
Example:
Step 1 – Book a Consultation to Learn More
Step 2 – Receive your Customized Plan
Step 3 – Implement and Monitor Performance
Why three steps? Because two are too few. Four starts to become too many. And from an early age, we’re taught important things happen in 3’s.
Have an emergency? Call 9-1-1
In a fire? Stop. Drop. Roll.
